He added that besides the distribution of bicycles, a free meal would be provided every morning before the commencement of classes.
He however lamented that most of the students live in rural areas without any access roads to reach their schools on time.
Citing Wuyo, in Bayo Local Government Area, he disclosed that; “With these bicycles students could reach their school without being late for classes.
“They could also stay at home to help their parents in the evenings.”
He said this is a strategic means to overcome absenteeism and indiscipline in most rural secondary and technical schools.
Besides, reaching the schools on bicycles for academic activities, he said that the students are being instilled with discipline for promptness for classes.
According to him, the inauguration of six secondary and technical schools in the south senatorial district will create wealth and jobs for the youths.

He therefore directed the Commissioner of Education, Abba Wakilbe to equip the Wuyo Technical School with laboratories and workshops.
“Today, I directed you to employ qualified technical teachers that could groom the students into the job market,” he said, pledging that another secondary school will be established next year in Ganjiwa Community.
