2023: Group pledges free legal services to Bauchi APC guber candidate

A group, League of Lawyers in Bauchi state has pledged to offer free legal services to All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Rtd.)
The group’s leader, Mr Ahmed Sani stated this while briefing journalists in Bauchi, stressing that they were ready to handle for free all legal issues brought against the APC guber candidate.
Sani said that the lawyers were committed to taking legal action against those who would want to malign the good name and reputation of the APC flag bearer.
He explained that the group’s members were legal practitioners of like minds who were working specifically for the realization of Abubakar’s governorship ambition.
“Our blueprint is geared towards providing free legal services and galvanizing massive support for Abubakar.
“As well as ensuring his victory at the polls in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
“We are not oblivious of rumours peddled by mischief makers to malign the good name and reputation of our candidate and his campaign team,” he said.
Sani warned that henceforth the group would not remain aloof while the ugly trend continued.
“We shall use the means within the law to seek redress whenever the need arises,” Sani said.
He noted that their convictions to support Abubakar was not out of sentiments or mere display of love.
Sani said that it was informed by Abubakar’s excellent track record and his capacity to deliver on his promises,
“We are confident that Abubakar has the competence to bring back the groove and pride, hope, power and responsibility to improve the living standards of the people within the state,” he said.
The group lamented the unemployment rate and lack of access to clean water, among other many other challenges in Bauchi State.
“Our mission is to support a candidate who has the capacity to stem the tide and lead Bauchi State to its desired destination,” he said.
