Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has unveiled the leadership structure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections, appointing National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Chairman, retired Brigadier-General Buba Marwa, as co-chairman.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued in Yola by Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary.
Mr Fintiri will head the council, while his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has been named Deputy Chairman I. The APC governorship candidate in the state, Ahmed Galadima, will serve as Deputy Chairman II.
The governor also appointed Titus Solomon as Director-General of the campaign council, with Ambassador Peter Kevin designated as Campaign Director.
The council brings together party leaders, key stakeholders, and youth and women representatives from Adamawa’s 21 local government areas.
According to the statement, the composition is intended to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and ensure broad participation in its campaign activities.
Mr Fintiri urged the appointees to work together, coordinate their efforts and mobilise support for the APC to secure victory in the 2027 elections at all levels.
He said the structure reflects the party’s emphasis on inclusiveness and grassroots engagement as preparations for the general elections gather momentum.
