Air Marshal Abubakar Celebrates Christmas with Troops in Maiduguri, Praises their Resilience

Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, spent Christmas Day with personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Maiduguri, acknowledging their sacrifices and reinforcing the NAF’s commitment to national security.
During the visit, Air Marshal Abubakar inspected the Quarter Guard, received briefings at Headquarters Air Component (HQ AC) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) and 105 Composite Group (CG), and toured facilities to assess readiness and welfare initiatives.
Addressing the personnel, Air Marshal Abubakar praised their dedication to counterinsurgency operations and described them as “the shield that protects the vulnerable and the force that stands between chaos and stability.” He also paid tribute to fallen heroes and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support.
The CAS urged personnel to remain steadfast and united, assuring them that their sacrifices are valued by the nation. “Your courage and resilience remain an inspiration,” he stated.
Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Executive Governor of Borno State, also commended the NAF’s role in maintaining security in the Northeast and highlighted their humanitarian efforts during the recent flood disaster.
The event featured entertainment and souvenir presentations, strengthening camaraderie among NAF personnel and underscoring their commitment to lasting peace and security.
