Aku Uka of Wukari dies at 84
Taraba first-class monarch, the Chief of Wukari, also known as Aku Uka, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa Ibi, Kuvyo II is dead.
Aku Uka’s death was announced in a statement signed by his Special Assistance on Media, Jolly Agbu Masa-Ibi.

According to the statement, the final traditional rites for the first-class monarch’s transition from the Palace to Puje would be announced in due course.
The Aku Uka died at the age of 84 after ruling for 45 Years.
All traditional rites in accordance to the Jukun tradition have since commenced.
Until his death, he was the Chairman of Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers.

He was also the Chancellor of Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
It was gathered that the deceased was a civil servant and later a businessman before he was selected to the throne in Wukari and leader of the Jukun ethnic group.
