Army reopens Biu, Damboa, Maiduguri Road
The Nigerian Army in conjunction with the Borno State government has reopen the Maiduguri-Damboa-Biu Road after it was being closed by the Army in 2020.
Mallam Musa Gwani a resident of Damboa confirmed the reopening of the road to Northeast Star Magazine said that Nigeria Army closed the road in 2020 because of incessant attacks on motorist by the Boko Haram.
He said the State Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has pledged to open all the major road in the state to accelerate economic activities.
“The road is the only way that links Maiduguri with the southern part of Borno State.
some of the motorist and commuters have expressed their happiness for reopening the
road and commended the Army and the state government.
The Nigerian Army assured motorist that the road is safe will ensure constant patrolling of the road to safeguard lives and properties. Mororist have since start plying the road.
