ASUU Warns FG Over Potential Strike Action
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has accused the Federal Government of frustrating its members, warning that another strike may be imminent.
ASUU’s Nsukka Zonal Coordinator, Raphael Amokaha, criticized both past and present administrations for ignoring the union’s demands, including the renegotiation of the 2009 ASUU/FGN agreement.
Speaking during a press conference in Makurdi on Wednesday, October 2, Amokaha emphasized that if the government’s inaction leads to industrial action, it will be solely responsible for the crisis.
He urged all efforts for resolution to focus on the government, not the union.
