Borno to establish 35 fire service, rapid response complexes to protect lives, property

The Borno State Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar, has said that 35 fire service stations and rapid response centres are to be established in 2025.
According to him, their establishment in the 27 local and eight emirate councils were to protect people’s lives and property.
Tar unveiled the fire service and rapid response centres, over the weekend, in Maiduguri, while defending the Ministry’s 2025 budget proposals of the Governor, before the House Committee on Information and Internal security.
He said that museums and historical Security.l also be constructed in the Borno Emirate Council (BEC), and seven other emirates in the state.
“The Borno State Radio Television (BRTV) will also be rebuilt and equipped with modern facilities in reaching out to the people in rural areas.”.
The commissioner stated: “The completion of BRTV could also serve a 250 kilometre radius, including the border communities with Niger, Cameroon, and Chad.
While securing the eight historical sites, he added that an office complex for the
rapid response of agencies will also be established.
“All These measures are not only to protect fire service stations and officeof securitymplex, but people’s lives and property,” adding that they were destroyed in the 15-year Boko Haram terrorism.
Tar continued: “The active participation of the Information Ministry in national and cultural events have salvaged the state’s cultural prestige.” as well as catapulting the state to enviable heights.
Besides the cultural prestige, he noted that it contributed to Governor Zulum’s mantra of “Building Borno Back and Better.”.
The Information House Committee Chairman, Bukar Modu, who represents the Konduga constituency, assured support for the passing of the appropriation bill for Zulum’s assent into law.
