The development forced the Governor to pause the speech before he later continued.
This comes a few moments after a video which emerged from the inauguration ceremony showed how the teeming supporters of the new ruling party in the state, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) booed the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, at the venue of the inauguration ceremony.
It was learned that when the first-class monarch arrived at the venue, an angry crowd started shouting at the top of their voices, showing their displeasure towards the king’s alleged affiliation with the state’s former governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
A similar treatment was meted out to the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, who is the younger brother of the Kano Emir.
But security operatives quickly moved in and escorted the monarchs to their seats.
