In his goodwill message, Governor Yahaya, who also serves as Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, urged Muslim faithful to uphold the spiritual lessons of Ramadan beyond the fasting period.
He highlighted the values of compassion, self-discipline, and devotion as essential pillars for societal progress.
The Governor called on the people of Gombe State to remain steadfast in unity and prayer, particularly as the nation navigates its economic challenges.
He assured citizens that Nigeria’s future remains bright and that with collective effort, the country will emerge stronger.
“At this critical moment, our nation needs citizens of high moral character to counter the negative actions of a few individuals who seek to undermine our progress.
“The virtues of sacrifice, selflessness, love, and obedience to Islamic principles that Eid-el-Fitr represents should inspire us to promote harmony and peaceful coexistence,” Governor Yahaya stated.
He also urged the Muslim community to extend the spirit of Ramadan by supporting the less privileged and vulnerable groups, emphasizing that acts of charity and empathy should continue beyond the holy month.
“Let us not forget the importance of giving and caring for one another. Our collective support and compassion will pave the way for a more prosperous future,” he added.
Reaffirming his commitment to maintaining peace and security in Gombe State, the Governor assured residents that his administration remains steadfast in safeguarding the stability and well-being of all citizens.
He reiterated his pledge to deliver democratic dividends through impactful projects and initiatives.
Highlighting the role of agriculture in economic growth and food security, Governor Yahaya encouraged citizens to seize opportunities in farming and maximize the benefits of the state’s industrialization efforts.
