Gaza Humanitarian Crisis: KFP Condemns Killing of Humanitarian Workers, Demands Immediate Ceasefire
By Lawrence Bilal Audu
The Kalthum Foundation for Peace has strongly condemned the tragic killings of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) medical staff in Gaza, allegedly perpetrated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). This devastating incident has exacerbated the already dire humanitarian crisis in the region.
“The senseless killing of humanitarian workers is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of conflict,” said Ummu-Kalthum Muhammad Rabiu, CEO of the Kalthum Foundation for Peace. “We urge all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy over violence, ensuring the safety of civilians and healthcare workers.”
The Kalthum Foundation therefore, demands an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities to protect civilians and preserve humanitarian efforts. They emphasize the importance of safeguarding healthcare workers, who operate under principles of neutrality and impartiality in conflict zones.
The Foundation also calls on the international community, particularly the United States, to facilitate a ceasefire and establish a sustainable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Diplomatic intervention is crucial to prevent further loss of life and foster dialogue.
“We commend MSF’s commitment to providing high-quality medical care in Gaza and surrounding areas,” added Rabiu. “Their bravery and resilience in the face of adversity inspire us all.”
The Kalthum Foundation for Peace remains committed to advocating for peace and humanitarian support in conflict zones.
