Gombe Ex-speaker, exits APC
The gale of defections hitting the camp of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State continues unabated as the immediate past Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly and member representing Yamaltu West Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Ibrahim Kurba, on Thursday, tendered his resignation from the membership of the APC.
His resignation is coming barely a month after two members of the GSHA, Hon. Markus Wina and Hon. Rambi Ibrahim Ayala also resigned from the APC.

“I, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Ibrahim, has today, 31st March, 2022 resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).” Hon Kurba stated in a letter obtained by Daylight Reporters and addressed to the Speaker Gombe State House of Assembly.
When contacted by Daylight Reporters, Hon. Kurba confirmed his resignation from the APC but declined to comment further.
Hon. Kurba was Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly at the inception of the current regime, until November 2020, when he was impeached by 16 out of 24 members of the house.
