Gombe: Gov. Yahya constitutes management committee for take-off MB Industrial Park
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has constituted an Interim Management Committee for the take-off of Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, Dadinkowa in the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by Ismaila Misili, Director-General Press Affairs, Government House, and made available to newsmen in Gombe on Tuesday.
He said the five-man committee had Bashir Aliko as Chairman, with Mu’awiya Farouk, Managing Director of Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company, serving as the Secretary.
Other members were Mr Adamu Lubo, Mr Bala Adams and Aishatu Rasheed while their appointments took immediate effect.
Misili said the committee shall be responsible for the development of a necessary framework for the management and take-off of the site by creating enabling competitive business environment, to woo investors at both local and international levels.
He said the first phase of the 1,000 hectares of the park under construction had reached a significant level.
The park is located at Dadinkowa, within the vicinity of the hydropower plant which is expected to provide 40 megawatts when completed and put to use.
‘It would be a hub for trade and investment not only in the North East but in Nigeria as a whole,” the DG said. (NAN)
