Gombe Governor Presents N320bn 2025 Budget to Assembly
Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has unveiled a proposed 2025 budget of N320 billion to the State House of Assembly, emphasizing development and resilience.
Dubbed the “Budget of Commitment and Resilience,” the proposal allocates N111 billion (34.7%) for recurrent expenditure and N209 billion (65.3%) for capital projects. Yahaya noted that the budget reflects his administration’s focus on tackling challenges and fostering inclusive growth to enhance the welfare of Gombe residents.
The governor disclosed plans to generate N160.27 billion in recurrent revenue and N71.52 billion in capital receipts to finance the budget.
Reviewing the 2024 fiscal year, Yahaya stated that the budget had achieved a performance of N179.25 billion, representing 49.15% implementation as of September 30.
In response, the Speaker of the House, Mohammed Luggerrewo, commended Yahaya for prioritizing people-focused initiatives. Luggerrewo assured the public of prompt legislative scrutiny to ensure the budget serves the best interests of the state.
