Gombe state government approves 102 new directors

A total of 102 new directors have been approved by the Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Babayo Yahaya on Monday disclosed this in Gombe.

He said that 31 directors are in charge of administrations while 71 directors are professional directors posted to various ministries in the civil service.
The Head of Civil service also restated the Governor’s determination to reposition the civil service for efficient service delivery as evident by the laudable reform process being executed in the state particularly the on- going Biometric Verification and Attendance Exercise which when completed will greatly succeed in weeding out ghost workers in the state civil service.
Yahaya added that the development had made possible, thereby making it convenient for Government to pay all genuine and bonafide civil servants their dues and create new avenue for employment.
He said that these appointments and their current efforts are thelp to repositioning the civil service for optimum performance and urged all the civil servants in the state to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, commitment, dedication, punctuality to duty and total loyalty to the present administration.
