Group donates 5000 copies of Qur’an to five Islamic Schools in Gombe

An Islamic Aid organisation, Amal Foundation of Malaysia, has donated 5000 copies of the Holy Qur’an to Ar-Rahman Academy Kumbiya-Kumbiya quarters and other four Islamiyya Schools in Gombe metropolis.
Representative of Amal Foundation, Malam Abdulrazak Abdullahi Usman, said the donation were part of the organisation’s charity work and propagation of Islam.

He said the five schools were chosen after a rigorous selection process, in order to aide teaching of the holy book to pupils and students of the respective schools.
He explained that the distribution of the Qur’an is their first intervention in Gombe state and urged the beneficiary schools to make judicious use of the holy books given to them.

He added that the foundation is also into provision of potable water through electricity powered boreholes to less privilege members of the society, especially in the low-income communities in northern Nigeria.
Responding on behalf of the schools, Malam Huzaifa Muhammad Babayo of Ar-Rahman Academy, commended the foundation for the kind gesture and pledged to distribute the holy books to their students.
