Int’l Day of Education: Gombe govt recommits to teachers’ welfare
The Gombe State Government has reiterated commitment to the improvement of teachers’ welfare towards enhancing the delivery of quality education for all.
This is contained in a statement by Dauda Batari, the Commissioner for Education, issued by Saidu Malala, Principal Information Officer of the ministry, on Monday in Gombe.

Batari who spoke as part of activities to mark the 2022 World Education Day, described teachers as a “catalyst for attaining greatness in the education sector.
“Gov. Inuwa Yahaya-led administration will do everything humanly possible to attend to their welfare.”
The statement also quoted Batari as reaffirming government commitment to the provision of quality education to the citizenry through the construction and renovation of school infrastructure across the state.
While reiterating commitment to address challenges in the education sector, Batari urged stakeholders to support the government’s policies on education through positive contributions to encourage sustainable development in the sector.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 2022 World Education Day has as its theme: “Changing Course, Transforming Education.”
