Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria (MCAN), Borno State Chapter, have been advised to invest their time on taking up personal development activities and seeking for more Islamic knowledge rather than allowing themselves become too addicted to mobile Phone devices.
In a Wolimat ceremony organized for the 2023 outgoing executives of the association at Umar Mustapha El-kanemi Arabic Teachers’ College Multi-Purpose Hall Maiduguri, the guest speaker Professor, Abdulafatah Abwabah, in his lecture titled “balancing worldly life and faith”, emphasized the need for youths not to allow worldly activities that are fostered by modern technologies to affect their focus In their pursuit of life goals and spreading of authentic Islamic knowledge.
Professor Abwabah said that balancing their pursuit of life dream with quest for Islamic Knowledge is a necessity in other to enjoy good life on earth and hereafter, while noting that a committed worshiper of Allah Will not be carried away by worldly things.
On his part, Dr Dawud Muhammad from Borno State University, urged the Muslim Corp members and the outgoing executives to prioritise a lifestyle that makes them important and beneficial to every body around them.
Also speaking, the Outgoing Ameer of MCAN, Nasir Idris, appreciated his fellow executives for their achievement while calling on other Corp members to be cooperative with the new executives in order to move the association forward.
Highlights of the event is the presentation of certificates for outgoing executives and swearing In of New Executives which will be led by Umar Salim Ibrahim as the new Ameer
