According to him, the joint military operations also led to the killing of 41 terrorists including Abu-Zahra Munzir.
On the execution of Darda, a military source in Maiduguri, disclosed that he was accused of leading a failed attack of Sunday, March 19, 2023 on Mafa community, 40 kilometres east of Maiduguri.
The source added that the failed attack led to the killing of scores of terrorists, with the capture of two gun trucks.
“They had only three trucks but Darda’s failure led to their capture by the military,” he said.
He noted that he couldn’t watch his back as the military traced his footsteps to attack them in their camp while they were sleeping.
The Commander said he was particularly pained because the military killed scores of his fighters, burnt his food stuff and some newly acquired furniture meant for his wedding soon.
