JUST IN: Kaduna State Government Declares 24-Hour Curfew Due To Violence

On Monday, the Kaduna State Government announced an instant 24-hour curfew in the Nasarawa-Tirkaniya area of Chikun Local Government Area of the State.
In a brief statement from the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said the decision came after two residents were killed as a result of breaking the law and order in a case of gang violence in the city.

“Security agencies have been directed to enforce the curfew in the said location, to restore order as investigations proceed. Citizens are therefore urged to strictly observe the curfew in this location, which takes effect immediately.
“Further updates will be communicated accordingly,” Aruwan stated.
