“Kwayam” locals in Borno killed 9 Boko Haram with bow and arrows

Atleast nine terrorists from the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP), were killed during an encounter with the Kwayam tribes in the North East of Borno state on Wednesday.
A local sources told Zagazola Makama, A Security Analyst and Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad, that the terrorists were eliminated in a reprisal attack at Kakari village in Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno state.

The sources said that the locals had eliminated two terrorists who attacked a local settlement in Kuda village in failed attempt to rustled their cows on Tuesday.
He said that on Wednesday, Aug. 3, the terrorists mobilised its fighters on 7 motorcycles in a mission to revenge the killing.
He explained that, on their arrival, the locals who were known for their spiritual warfare tactics, disabled their Ak47 riffles, before killing them using a poisonous bowl and arrow.
The insurgents that were hits by the arrows died in less than 10 minutes while other terrorists took to their heels.
The Kwayam tribe, is a subgroup of the major tribe in Borno, the Kanuri. The Kwayam are found in rural areas within Borno. their nomadic lifestyle is similar to the Fulani. While the Fulani roam around with cattle, the Kwayam seek land for farming.
