In a significant blow to terrorist operations in the region, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted air strikes on enemy camps in Kaduna and Katsina states.
According to a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the air strikes were carried out between May 30-31, 2024, targeting the stronghold of notorious terrorist, Buharinyadi, in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The strikes resulted in the destruction of the terrorist enclave, with scores of enemy personnel neutralized and their equipment destroyed.

Similarly, on June 2, 2024, the NAF conducted air strikes on a terrorist hideout in Zango Hill, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing several terrorists and destroying their structures.
The NAF has assured that it will continue to work in collaboration with surface forces to maintain dominance over the battlespace and eliminate terrorist threats in the region.
