Nigerian Army 3 division flags off inter – brigades competition in Bauchi

The 3 Division, Nigerian Army has on Tuesday flagged off the Division’s Inter- Brigade Corporal and Below Competition 2022 at 33 artillery brigade Bauchi.
Our correspondent reports that the competition is between the army formations of 3 Division Garrison, 55 Signal brigade , 43 Engineers Brigade, 33 artillery brigade, 23 Brigade and 6 Brigade.
Maj.Gen. Ibrahim Ali, General Commanding Officer (GOC) 3 Division Jos, Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition in Bauchi, said the best welfare you give to troops is training.
He said the competition was aimed at improving the leadership qualities, organizational abilities,skills and enhancing the initiative of Junior Non-Commissioned officers of the army.

“Training in the Nigerian Army is very important because with training they can carry out their task in the field and achieve success,” he said.
He urged the soldiers to learn important lessons from the competition and go with vital knowledge back to their respective units and formations.
The GOC, who is also the Commandant operation save heavens, pointed out that the competition also meant to strengthen professionalism of the junior cadre who constitute larger fighting components of the army.
On his part, Brig.Gen. Joseph Adeyemo urged the participants to be inspired and exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship alongside high standards of professionalism towards achieving the GOC strategic guidance for achieving the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) vision.
According to him, the COAS vision is tagged A professional Nigeria Army , ready to accomplish assigned missions with a joint environment in defense of Nigeria.
He however charged participants to actively participate and take the competition with all seriousness it deserves.
NAN reports that the competition exercises include drill Competition, shooting competition, stripping and assembly,obstacle crossing, combat swimming and cross country.
The competition is expected to end 1st Friday April, 2022.
