Nigerian Army Advocates Stronger Security Collaboration to Honor Fallen Heroes
The Nigerian Army has emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration among security agencies to ensure effective service delivery in the country. This call was made on Friday, January 10, 2025, by the Commander of the 3 Army Brigade, Bukavu Barracks, Kano, Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Tukur, during a special Jumaat prayer session held at the Central Mosque, Bukavu Barracks, Kano.
The prayer session was organized to honor the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who gave their lives in defense of the nation’s territorial integrity.
Brig.-Gen. Tukur paid tribute to the fallen heroes, urging Nigerians to continually pray for the repose of their souls and to remember their sacrifices. “Their bravery and dedication must not be in vain. Unity and cooperation among security agencies are critical to ensuring the safety and stability of our nation,” he said.
In his sermon, Major Sabiu Yusuf, the Imam of the Central Mosque, emphasized that security is a shared responsibility. Citing Quranic verses and prophetic traditions, he called on all stakeholders to contribute to the collective effort of maintaining peace and security in the country.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 1, Ahmad Ammani, and Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba, among others.
The prayer session served as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by security personnel and reinforced the need for unity and collaboration among Nigeria’s security agencies to achieve lasting peace and security.
