Nigerian army rescued 7 kidnapped herdsmen, 200 cows from Boko Haram in the NE

The Troops of 195 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Operations Hadin Kai have reportedly rescued 7 herdsmen Kidnapped by Boko Haram in Dusuman in Maiduguri, the capital of the North Eastern Borno state.
An Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad, that the terrorists, numbering about 30 with Ak 47 on motorcycles also rustled about 200 cows from the victims.

The sources said that the troops of 195 Battalion in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force immediately pursued the Boko Haram and established contact with them at Jintolori forest.
He said a gun battle ensued but due to the superior firepower, the insurgents abandoned the victims and the rustled cows and fled through the thick forest.
“No casualties were recorded on both sides. The victims and rustled cows are already reunited with their community,” he said.
According to him, the troops will continue to protect farmers and herders, especially during the farming season.
