The search and recovery phase of the exercise has been completed, and the final inspection of the site has now commenced. As part of the exercise plan, a final Unexploded Ordnance Disposal (UXO) task will be conducted on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Nigerian Army Range in Owode Ajilete, Ogun State. During this task, there will be movement of UXOs from Ikeja Cantonment to the Nigerian Army Range, and there will be loud sounds accompanying the detonation exercise.
Brigadier General Nwachukwu has urged the public, particularly those residing in Owode, Ajilete, and the surrounding areas, not to panic upon hearing the sound of explosions but to continue their daily activities as usual.
