Nigerian Army’s 9 Brigade Hosts Joyful End-of-Year Funfair
In a heartwarming celebration, Headquarters 9 Brigade Nigerian Army organized an end-of-year party for approximately 2,500 children residing in the Ikeja Cantonment. The “Ikeja Cantonment End of Year Funfair” brought together families of personnel for a festive day of joy and merriment. 
Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola, Commander 9 Brigade, expressed his delight at the large turnout and praised the parents for their dedication to their children’s well-being. He emphasized the importance of safety and security during the celebration, ensuring a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.
The event featured a thrilling performance by upcoming artiste BOYSARM, as well as food, drinks, and cash prizes for various games and sectional photographs. In a touching gesture, the children sang for the Commander, showcasing their excitement and happiness.
This festive celebration is a testament to the Nigerian Army’s commitment to boosting the morale of its personnel and their families. Similar events have been held in the past, such as the 2022 end-of-year party hosted by the Commander 9 Brigade, Brigadier General Isangubong Akpanmoutia.
