Police arrest six suspects for kidnap, two others in Borno

The Borno State Police Command, has arrested six suspects for kidnapping, armed robbery and extortion in Konduga and Magumeri Local Councils of the state.
The suspects were arrested during the Command’s covert operations in Chingowa village of Konduga council area.
Parading the suspects, on Saturday in Maiduguri, the Police Commissioner, Mohammed Yusufu disclosed: “Following a credible tip-off on October 25, 2024 in the two local council areas, Modu Bindimi, 26, Kiso Gana, 24, Jassim Bulama, 27, Isah Mohammed, 21, Zarami Fantami, 22, and Modu Bunu, 24, were arrested by the police.”.
Additionally, the Commissioner said that the suspects were in procession of a pump action gun with a live cartridge, and N2.64 million cash.
Besides the illegal pocessions of arms, the suspects also confessed to the crime, stating that they will be charged to court after completing the investigations.
Yusufu, therefore, urged members of the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. “They are to call the police through the emergency contacts: 08068075581 and 08023473293,” he said.
