Project Nigeria secures 2000 employment slots for members across the Nation
Project Nigeria, a non-governmental organization involved with development of project concepts, implementation and management for private organizations, government institutions and agencies has been given the concession for 2000 employment slot for her teaming members across the country.
This was made known by the Acting Director General of National Commission for the Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapon NATCOM, Otunba Adejare Adegbenro during the occasion to formally announce the stakeholder partnership collaboration between NATCOM and Project Nigeria to work towards the eradication of proliferation of small arms and light weapon in the fight to eliminate insecurity, banditry, terrorism, crime and criminality in Nigeria.

Otunba Adegbenro expressed NATCOM preparedness and commitment to tackle the looming menace and to ensure all those responsible in the crime are brought to book.
He said as he is on board the mantle of leadership, he will adopt a different approach by working with traditional institutions, well-meaning Nigerians and NGOs such as Project Nigeria and that with the mandate of the President, there is the need for all Nigerians to come together to make the country a safe place, stating that without security, lives of citizens are not guaranteed.
In her address, the Director General of Project Nigeria, Hon. Dr. Maryam Yenusa Danjaki commended the DG NATCOM for the 2,000-employment slot granted Project Nigeria stressing that the group is well represented across the thirty-six states and the federal capital Territory, with cells in the seven hundred and seventy-four local government areas of the federation
“This provides an advantage that can be leveraged upon in the area of effective surveillance and rapid response measures for detection and quick interception of illegal weapons in the hands of people who engage in such Practices in communities across Nigeria”
“We also have the capacity to compliment the commission in the area of embarking on training and advocacies on the government’s war against the proliferation of light weapons towards ensuring a crime free society”.
Hajiya Maryam further express joy and appreciation to the DG NATCOM on the behalf of the teaming members of the group across the country who shall be beneficiaries of the Employment opportunity, asserting that they have indeed supported the course of this administration and worked acidulously as foot soldiers in the electioneering campaign to ensure victory at the poll therefore deserve this laudable reward.
