The Prayer for Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has issued a scathing condemnation of the brutal and senseless murder of Nigerian policemen at the hands of Shiite extremists. This egregious act of violence has far-reaching consequences, eroding the rule of law, fostering a culture of impunity, and demoralizing our security forces.
The targeted killing of security personnel, who selflessly risk their lives to protect citizens, is a heinous offense that demands swift and severe punishment. Such acts sow divisions, mistrust, and can escalate into further conflict and bloodshed. The PSNAFSA emphasizes that the sacrifice of security operatives must not be taken for granted, and their families must be supported in this difficult time.
PSNAFSA urges the Nigeria Police Force to expedite the apprehension and prosecution of the perpetrators and calls on the public to actively support the investigation. The organization demands that the government takes concrete steps to prevent such incidents in the future and ensures the safety and security of its citizens.
PSNAFSA extends its deepest condolences to the families of the slain policemen and the Nigeria Police Force, demanding justice for the fallen officers. The organization’s convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile, emphasized that “We must collectively demand justice for the murdered policemen. Their killers must not be allowed to escape accountability. We owe it to the fallen heroes and their families to ensure that justice is served.”
The PSNAFSA calls on all Nigerians to stand together against violence and extremism, promoting peace, unity, and respect for human life. The organization reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in their efforts to maintain law and order in the country.
