“Russian Drone Strike Kills 5 in Mykolaiv, Ukrainian Officials Confirm”
Five people have died, and one woman was injured following a Russian drone strike on the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, Governor Vitalii Kim reported via Telegram early Monday.
The attack damaged multiple residential buildings, although fires in two structures have since been contained. Ukrainian forces intercepted and shot down five Russian drones in the Mykolaiv region during the assault, Kim noted.
Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhya, a southeastern Ukrainian city, one person lost their life and 21 others sustained injuries in a separate series of Russian airstrikes, the regional military governor Ivan Fedorov announced on Telegram.
At least three glide bombs struck the area, adding to the toll of ongoing conflicts as Ukraine confronts Russia’s full-scale invasion that began in February 2022.
