Sardaunan Gombe Extends Eid Felicitations, Calls for Prayers and Peaceful Celebration
By Auwal Ahmad Gombe
The Sardaunan Gombe, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has congratulated Muslims across Gombe State on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting period, urging them to sustain the spiritual lessons gained during the holy month.
In a Sallah goodwill message released on Friday, his media aide, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, made it available to newsmen in Gombe.
Dr Gwamna described Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, self-discipline, and renewed devotion to Allah, stressing that the values imbibed should guide daily life beyond the fasting season.
He expressed gratitude to Allah for granting the faithful the opportunity to witness this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, encouraging Muslims to remain steadfast in obedience and commitment to righteous living.
According to him, the end of Ramadan should not mark the end of devotion but rather serve as a foundation for continuous spiritual growth and moral conduct.
Dr Gwamna further called on the Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and national progress, particularly in light of the prevailing security challenges facing the country. He, however, expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its difficulties and emerge stronger.
The Sardaunan also extended warm Eid greetings to the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Emir of Gombe, and other traditional rulers, as well as the entire people of the state.
He advised young people to celebrate responsibly, avoid acts of violence, and embrace peaceful coexistence during and after the festivities.
