Zulum inaugurates 3 boards, orders health sector overhaul for service delivery

The Governor of Borno state, Babagana Zulum, has inaugurated three boards, with an overhaul of the health sector for effective service delivery to the people.
According to him, the comprehensive overhaul of the state’s healthcare delivery system, was to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) in the state, including the border communities with Niger, Chad, and Cameroon.
Inaugurating members of the boards, yesterday in Maiduguri, Zulum disclosed: “Today’s inauguration of critical boards,
included the Borno State Hospital Management, State Primary Health Development, and the Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital Management.”
He added that the boards in the health sector are taskedoverseeing theing the initiative’s of enhancing healthcare
delivery in the state.
He is highghting his vision in the health sector, the The governor also directed reforms that will address inadequate health facilities, staff, and the supplies tosupplies to hospitals and other health centres across the state.
Zulum also inaugurated the state’s local government. Service Commission (BLGSC), comprising its Chairman and four permanent commissioners. Responding to tasks before members of the boards, the chairmen of Kashim Ibrahim Teaching Hospital and BLGSD, Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo and Alhaji Modu Musa expressed gratitude to the governor for their appointments and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them to serve.
