Bello Yahaya Assumes Office as Gombe’s 23rd Police Commissioner
The Gombe State Police Command has announced the appointment of Mr. Bello Yahaya as the new Commissioner of Police for the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, confirmed that Yahaya had officially assumed office as the 23rd Commissioner of Police in Gombe, succeeding Hayatu Usman, who was redeployed to Abuja.
Yahaya, a native of Shinkafi, Zamfara State, joined the Nigeria Police Force on August 15, 1996, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) after training at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.
He has served in various departments within the force, participated in multiple secondments, and attended several professional courses both in Nigeria and abroad.
