Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by his deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa George-Farauta, emphasised the crucial role these materials play in enriching both student learning and teacher instruction.
“Providing our schools with relevant instructional materials is a top priority for this administration,” declared the governor.
“We will not waver in our dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment for our students.”
The Executive Secretary of the State Post-Primary Education Board (SPPEB), Mr. Samuel Wegerang, detailed the extensive range of materials being distributed.
The impressive list includes report sheet booklets, student files, scheme of work booklets, class attendance registers, white chalk, blue biros, and A4 paper, totaling over 130,000 items.
Mr. Wegerang hailed the distribution as both “desired” and “timely,” addressing a critical need within schools. He further commended the government for establishing this material provision as an annual event, ensuring consistent support for educational development.
However, a strong message of accountability resonated throughout the launch. The SPPEB boss issued a stern warning against any misuse or diversion of the resources.
“We will be closely monitoring the use of these materials,” he stated. “Any individual found to be diverting or misusing them will face appropriate sanctions.”
This proactive initiative by the Adamawa government marks a significant step towards equipping teachers and empowering students in senior secondary schools across the state.
The commitment to ongoing material provision sets a positive precedent for sustained educational advancement in Adamawa.
