The former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has urged the media to ignore those calling for disunity and to give importance to those trying to ensure peace and unity.
IBB disclosed this while talking to the Nigerian Press Association at his home in Minna, Niger State.
Babangida said that; “Nigerians must persist in believing in the unity of Nigeria and to be patient and pray to overcome the challenges that are plaguing the country”.

The former president expressed his satisfaction with the role of the Nigerian media and called for a change of mindset to create a better Nigeria by doing what is right.
General Babangida also praised the media workers in this country for the way they carry out their work in a professional manner and the support they give to sustainable democracy.
The former President appealed to Nigerians to be courageous, faithful and prayerful in order to put an end to the challenges of insecurity that the Nigerian community is currently facing.
