Kebbi APC Youths Knock ADC, Say Opposition ‘Pushing a Damaged Candidate

By Musa Garba

The Kebbi APC Youth Vanguard (KAYV) has criticised the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) over its recent political stance, describing the opposition’s claims as unrealistic and misleading.

In a statement released by its spokesperson, Comrade Adamu Ahmed, the group reacted to remarks made by the ADC during its reception for former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, following his return from detention.

The ADC had, during the event, expressed strong confidence in its ability to unseat the incumbent governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, citing what it called lapses in governance.

However, KAYV dismissed the assertion, accusing the opposition of attempting to market what it termed a “damaged political product” to the people of Kebbi State.

Ahmed argued that lingering allegations associated with Malami have already shaped public perception, making it difficult for any credible political platform to present him as a viable alternative.

According to him, the ADC’s position reflects a disconnect from the realities on ground, insisting that the ruling administration still enjoys widespread support among residents.

“The opposition appears out of touch with the political climate in Kebbi. Rather than offering practical solutions, they are relying on rhetoric and recycled political figures,” he said.

The group urged opposition parties in the state to focus on presenting credible candidates and policy-driven alternatives capable of convincing voters, instead of what it described as sensational claims.
