Nasarawa govt. dissolves mgt of Nasarawa United FC Supporters Club
The Nasarawa State government has dissolved both the suspended management and interim leadership of the Supporters’ Club of the Nasarawa United Football Club.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Lafia by Umar Abubakar, the covering Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Umar said that the suspended management led by Bashir Abdullahi and interim leader of the club under Abdulsalam Abubakar was dissolved with immediate effect.
He directed the affected officials of the club to hand over all government properties in their possession to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development without delay.
The permanent secretary directed the former officials to hand over all the property of the club in their possession to the ministry without delay.
While thanking the officials for their service to the state, Abubakar wished them success in their future endeavours.
He assured football lovers and stakeholders in the state that the ministry would soon constitute an all-encompassing management team for the club to guarantee improved performance for the rest of the season
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nasarawa United Football Club is currently placed 12th on the Nigeria Premier League Table with 35 points from 27 matches played.
Rivers United and Plateau United are placed first and second on the table with 58 points and 51 points respectively while Rangers International of Enugu is third with 45 points.
