Represented by Malam Muhammad Danwau, the Commission’s Protocol Manager, Swade, said these include the right to access accurate and reliable communication networks, mobile internet data and other relevant communication services.
He said the commission had the mandate to sensitise, educate and protect them as consumers as well as enlighten them on the viable development in the communication sector.
According to him, the participants will also be exposed to how to seek redress whenever their communication rights are infringed.
One of the participants, Musa Ahmed, lauded the commission for organising the workshop, describing it as timely.
“It is educative and desirous considering the plight of the physically challenged who are being relegated to the background due to their disabilities,” he said.
He said that they would use knowledge learnt to make positive contributions in the communication sector.
