While announcing the suspension yesterday at a news conference in Maiduguri, the state capital, PDP Secretary, Yusuf Dikko, who represented the Chairman, Usman Badeiri, disclosed: “Since our inauguration, we have received series of complaints from wards and local governments on the activities of the two suspended members.
“They are trying to destroy the party,” noting that as they did between 2017 and 2019.
“We’ve resolved to uphold the suspension of Imam and Mustapha from the party in the state.”
Speaking on the authentic PDP Chairman, he said that based on the judgment of Supreme Court, the National Headquarters of the party directed that Badeiri, “is the authentic party Chairman for Borno state.”
“The party Chairman’s authenticity was delivered by the Supreme Court on March, 12, 2021,” noting that this informed the party for its inauguration on March 30, 2021.
According to him, the suspended members are destroying the party by creating factions within PDP.
