By Njadvara MUSA, Maiduguri
The Yobe stakeholders and associates have purchased N50 million forms to express interest and nomination of Governor Mai Mala Buni to re-contest the 2023 governorship election.
The Stakeholders comprise local council party chairmen of All Progress Congress (APC), representatives of business and community leaders and the party supports at the grassroots.
Presenting the nomination form at the weekend (Friday), in Damaturu to the APC State Chairman, Mohammed Gadaka, the Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana disclosed: “Today’s presentation of the nomination form of interest to Buni to re-contest election, was based on the administration’s performance in the last three years.
According to him, the completed projects in the health, education, housing and infrastructural sectors have raised the living conditions of the people.
He noted that this gingered the stakeholders to procure the APC nomination form to run for the second term at the 2023 polls.
Gubana, therefore, called on party supporters, groups and associations; as well as the general public to support Buni.
He added that the governor is a political guru that has transformed the state with the dividends of democracy.
“The presentation of the nomination form was to maintain the status quo of the party as a family, he said; stating that this could stand the test of transparency and accountability to the people.
