Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has approved the payments of workers’ salaries for April ahead of the Sallah celebration in the state.

He noted that Zulum has always argued that the payments of workers’ salaries do not account for the achievement of any administration.

Instead, he said: “Since the monthly salaries are debts owed workers for their services, the Governor has never defaulted on the monthly payment of salaries and pensions.”

According to him, Zulum released over N20 billion to clear the bag logs of gratuities and pensions of retirees.

He noted that the Governor has regularly approved early payments between the 15th and 17th of every month to enable workers to prepare for special occasions, including Sallah and Christmas celebrations.

He, therefore, wishes all Muslims a fulfilling, joyous and memorable Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.
