Akeredolu declares Tuesday work free day for collection of PVC
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved Tuesday, 24th January, 2023 as a Work-Free Day to enable eligible voters in the state collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) at INEC designated centers in their respective Local Government Areas.
Governor Akeredolu urged civil servants, private sector workers, artisans, and all residents of the State who are eligible voters to seize the opportunity and collect their PVCs.
The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde called on the people to place premium on the collection of PVC to enable them exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.

The statement stressed that there is an urgent need to address the low rate of PVC collection in the Southwest, adding that people should understand that the PVC is their license to enthrone desired political leadership.
It also directed political appointees and other government functionaries to return to their local government areas and wards to encourage the people to collect their PVCs.
