The late Lieutenant Colonel Segun Teidi was laid to rest at the Guards Brigade Cemetery in Lungi barracks, marking the end of a distinguished military career and a life dedicated to service. Lieutenant Colonel Teidi, a senior officer, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his residence in Abuja after a brief illness.
The somber occasion began with the arrival of Lieutenant Colonel Teidi’s body at All Saints’ Military Church Protestant, Mogadishu Cantonment, where a moving funeral service was held in his honor. Following the service, his remains were conveyed to the Guards Brigade Cemetery at Lungi for the final interment.
Born on May 3, 1981, in Yagba-East LGA, Isanlu, Kogi State, late Lieutenant Colonel Segun Teidi was a man of academic accomplishment. He earned a BSc in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Akoka, and a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. Additionally, he held a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute affiliated with Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
Lieutenant Colonel Teidi’s professional memberships were a testament to his dedication and expertise. He was a Member of the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control (FCIFC), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), and a Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA).
