Bank Manager vacates seat for 9-year-old pupil in Bauchi
In order to make room for a nine-year-old student named Halima Ali, the manager of a Fidelity Bank branch in the city of Bauchi, Mr. Ahmed Yaya, temporarily gave up his seat on Thursday.
Ali and other students from the school were on an excursion tour of the bank when the event occurred, according to Mr. Adamu Abubakar, the head teacher of High Tech School in Bauchi.
According to Abubakar, the students were taken to a bank to have first-hand experience using an ATM and other financial procedures.

When asked which student would like to become a banker, he responded that only the little Halima, a kid in Primary Three, had expressed interest.
“The pupils went on an excursion to the bank within Bauchi metropolis and the bank officials asked who would want to become a banker.
“Only Halima Ali from primary three raised her hand and the bank manager, Mr Ahmed Yaya, vacated his seat and position for her for one minute.
“This was done as a respect for her ambition as well as to encourage her more in her quest to become a banker,” said the head teacher.
He further claimed that when asked why she wanted to work in banking, Ali replied that it was her ambition to do so in order to help humanity through the financial industry.
Abubakar continued by saying that the visit was an interactive session with bank representatives and that it was for primary school students to learn about national concerns and current affairs.
