Brave Passengers Foil Bandit Attack: Overpower Culprits, Seize 2 Ak-47 Rifles
In a display of extraordinary bravery, passengers aboard a bus travelling along Talata Mafara-Gusau in Zamfara State took matters into their own hands when confronted by armed bandits.
Eyewitnesses reported that the criminals attempted to hijack the vehicle, the passengers rose up, overpowering the assailants, and they managed to seize two AK-47 rifles.
He said that the bandits, numbering at least four, attempted to stop the bus along a remote stretch of road, adding that the passengers, refusing to be victims, fought back fiercely.
The eyewitnesses said that during the ensuing struggle, one of the bandits was killed, while the others fled the scene in retreat.
