Buni swears-in Baba Wali, as Yobe substantive SSG

Governor Mai Mala of Yobe state has sworn in Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, as the substantive Secretary to the State Government (SSG) with immediate effect.
.According to him, Wali has exhibited administrative skills in the coordination and implementation of government policies and programmes in the state.
While swearing in the SSG, yesterday (Tuesday), in Damaturu, the Governor, disclosed: “Your wealth of experiences in administrative skills, have improved an effective working synergy among the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
He, therefore, charged the SSG to commit his wealth of experiences in the prudent management of capital and human resources for service delivery to the people.

Besides, he added that efficiency in administration of both capital and human resources could save a lot of costs in executing people-oriented projects and programmes
“I enjoined you to champion the delegation of duty and responsibilities to all officers under the supervision of their superiors,” he said, noting that this could groom more workers, as others go on retirement.
Continuing; “Our State would produce more proficient officers by the training they had along with their wealth of experience and knowledge.
“I’m convinced that the principle of division of labour and shared responsibilities would enhance efficiency and speed in the civil service.
He noted that these measures are to check unnecessary administrative bottlenecks that slow down business of governance in the state.
The Governor, therefore, congratulated the sworn-in SSG for yet another opportunity to serve the state and looks forward to increased commitment to service delivery.
