Dr Dikwa leads delegation to Uganda Halal Product Testing Seminar
The Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, has led a delegation to the Halal Products Testing and Certification International Seminar and Training organized by Cooperation’s Ministerial Standing Committee on Science and Technology COMSTECH.
The founder was in the company of his Special Adviser on Policies, Projects and Programmes, Engr Muktar Usman, the Director of Operations, Mohammed Baba Shehu, Vice Chancellor of Al-Ansar University Maiduguri, Prof Abubakar Musa Kundiri in Kampala, Uganda.
Other participants from Nigeria include Prof Salisu Shehu, VC Alistiqamah University kano, and Prof Awwalu Uba, VC Bauchi State University.
Uganda’s Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation declared the seminar open by Dr Monica Musenero Masanza.
The event, jointly organized by COMSTECH and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), is held at Africana Hotel in Kampala, Uganda, from the 22nd to the 26th.
kyari had side meetings with the coordinator of COMSTECH, Prof. Dr Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary and the Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology of the OIC Ambassador Askar Mussinov, on how to tap into their support and that of the COMSTECH, OIC, and other relevant organs.
The organizers later organized a dinner honouring Dikwa and his entourage at the IUIU Kabojja Campus in Kampala.
The Nigerian delegation will also attend the forthcoming Forum of Vice Chancellors from OIC member countries tentatively scheduled to hold in December 2022 in Islamabad, Pakistan, to discuss issues on scholarship, scientific and technological cooperation, and sabbatical for admin and academic staff.
