Gombe: Yahaya receives newly posted NSCDC Commandant
Gov Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state, on Thursday, received the newly posted State’s commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at the Gombe State Government House.
Commandant Waziri Baba Goni who assumed duty on Jan 24 was earlier received by Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) and other top government officials in the absence of Gov Yahaya.
Goni who presented his letter of posting to Gov Yahaya pledged to enhance the protection of life and property of the citizens of the state.
The commandant further stated that critical national assets and infrastructure would be adequately protected across the state.
Responding, Gov Yahaya expressed his willingness to work with the Command to harness its potential in the protection of lives and property as well as critical assets in the State.
He assured the State Commandant of his administration’s support towards ensuring that the Command met its mandate in the state.
