The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has extended his deepest condolences to Governor Umar Namadi and the people of Jigawa State following a devastating tanker explosion in Majiya town, Taura Local Government Area.

The governor emphasized the importance of implementing stricter regulations governing the transportation and storage of fuel to minimize risks associated with hazardous materials.
He noted that public awareness campaigns are essential in educating citizens on the dangers of approaching accident sites, particularly those involving petroleum products.

In a message of solidarity, Yahaya prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and strength for the grieving families, urging the people and government of Jigawa to remain resilient during this trying time.
He assured them of unwavering support from the people of Gombe State and the entire Northern region.
